This is the month to see tons of Hummingbirds at your feeds...
They are bringing their families. We got to see a special treat at our backyard feeder this week, it was really cool to see so many hummers flying in our yard! I have 3 feeders out but this one is their favorite.

My Mom LOVES them and refers to the birds that frequent her feeders, 'My birds'. (She lives in Alabama)
I wonder if we have them in Portugal? I'll have to do some research.
I love the feeding the wild birds, it makes me happy to see them at my feeders and I'm honored that they make my yard their home :)
ReplyDeleteHummm... I wonder if Portugal does have them? I bet you do. I bet you get really pretty ones, theres soooo many different kinds, we only get 1 kind here, The Ruby-throated hummingbird.
What is the ratio of mixture that you use?
ReplyDelete4 cups water to 1 part sugar... I fill my jug, shake it up, clean/fill feeders and refrigerate what I have left.
ReplyDeleteThanks I just refilled my feeder and they were buzzing by my ear waiting on me. I am going to make a note of the ratio and put it on my fridge. I always forget and have to google it.
