I just call it SLOP...

Threw this together for dinner the other night, turned out pretty good.

I browned up 1 1/2 lbs. of burger (it was lean burger our neighbor gave us from having their cow processed, good stuff), drain. Add 1 bag of frozen mixed veggies. (I let it thaw while browning the meat)
Then I mixed in 2 cans of cream of mushroom, bout 1 cup of sour cream, little bit of milk and bout 2 handfuls of shredded cheese...

Served over rice and a side of homegrown canned beets :)

So NOT Fun Or Pretty...

Something has broken me out and I'm having an allergic reaction... I'm thinkin some kind of weed that grows in our yard. I woke up Tuesday morning after pullin weeds from the garden the night before with both my eyes almost swollen shut, red and itchy! Its all over my face, up my nose, down my neck, in my ears... Brian said I looked/look like a cat. So Not Fun! Its been 4 days now, I've been taking benadrly and it seems to be helping. But I cant go outside for every long, its irritating to my skin. I'll run out to feed. water and collect eggs from the chickens, throw some laundry on the line, snap a few pics. and thats all I can handle, gotta come back inside and its driving me crazy cause I'M AN OUTSIDE PERSON! So I've been watching movies, blogging, facebooking and crocheting

*Gonna make Homemade Tortillas tonight for fajitas (got some fresh peppers from the garden today , I'll do a blog about them :)

Takin Time To Stop And Smell The Roses

Shoot Me... week 18 of 52
This weeks pics for Just Shoot Me are about TAKIN TIME TO STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES! (or play with your cat, lol)

I took these pics with our cell phone on the day I was pullin weeds in the beet garden. After dinner I worked on another little garden when Piper (our farm kitty) came over to me, she wanted some lovin. So I started petting her then I just scooped her up and sat back in the hammock to relax for a minute...

Thanks Piper for reminding me to stop and smell the roses...

Shes lickin my eyelids, I have no idea why... maybe shes kissin me?!?! lol

She's such a sweetie...

My view from the hammock...
I get to relax and watch the wildbirds eat their dinner, love watching the hummingbirds zip through the yard from feeder to feeder

Cause Momma Cant Do It All...

We really started havin the teenagers pitch in and help around the house, after all they do live here too and make most of the mess... plus its nice to help your family. We also started shuttin their computers off from 12:00-2:00 so they can get their chores done and it gets them to do other things besides sit on the computers ALL DAY LONG. So far this chore thing is going great, I LOVE IT, its nice wakin up to a clean house.

1. Clean your room (pick up stuff off floor, make beds, put laundry away, vacuum floor)
2. If your old enough wash your laundry, hang it out on nice days
3. Pick up your stuff thats laying around the house and yard.

* The list below is split and rotated between the teenagers every week...

4. Sweep kitchen floor
5. Clean bathroom
6. Wash dinner dishes
7. Take out bathroom trashes
8. Take out kitchen trash
9. Check and clean pool
10. Vacuum living room and family room

Have 10/20 flour tortillas (I've never made my own... yet), added some chicken mixture to them then roll up, lay on a sprayed pan. Pour some salsa and or salsa verda sause over top of them, add some more cheese, pop in a 350 preheated oven for 30 mins. While they are bakin cut up a head of lettuce, set out some sour cream and salsa...
