Takin Time To Stop And Smell The Roses

Shoot Me... week 18 of 52
This weeks pics for Just Shoot Me are about TAKIN TIME TO STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES! (or play with your cat, lol)

I took these pics with our cell phone on the day I was pullin weeds in the beet garden. After dinner I worked on another little garden when Piper (our farm kitty) came over to me, she wanted some lovin. So I started petting her then I just scooped her up and sat back in the hammock to relax for a minute...

Thanks Piper for reminding me to stop and smell the roses...

Shes lickin my eyelids, I have no idea why... maybe shes kissin me?!?! lol

She's such a sweetie...

My view from the hammock...
I get to relax and watch the wildbirds eat their dinner, love watching the hummingbirds zip through the yard from feeder to feeder

There are two things to aim at in life: first, to get what you want; and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieve the second. ~Logan Pearsall Smith, Afterthoughts, 1931

  2. Hi Sunny... Piper is a nice, active, friendly kitty. We got her from a friend down here, I had to beg my husband for her, lol. Shes an outside kitty but comes in the laundry room at night to sleep. Yes I have a ton of birdfeeds, one of my favorite hobbies, I love watching the birds and trying to figure out the new ones I see through the years.

  3. I have a few bird feeders and have no idea what type I am feeding. Do you have a bird watching guide that you use?

  4. Angie I have a ton of bird books, lol been feeding/watching birds for about 10ish years now. Heres 2 of the ones I use the most... Perterson Field Guides, 5th adition by. Roger Troy Peterson. The Aububon Backyard Birdwatcher, Birdfeeders and Bird Gardens by. Robert Burton and Stphen W. Kress

I only feed BOSS (Black oil sunflower seeds) and thistle seed, I'll make my own suet cakes to put out and I mix up sugar water for the cute lil hummingbirds.
